I'm blogging again, and I got a new layout. Finally.
I am busy this past few months. With the wedding and all. But it's done now so I'm now married to a person I used to hate the most and then, love the most. So, it's basically karma. A good one, of course. Is there such thing as good karma?
Anyway, I love every part of marriage. I'm just lucky, that's the way I put it :D.
I know the wedding was 3 months ago but thank you very much to those who came to the solemnization and reception. I wish I can send each of you a thank you card, but I'm in the middle of tight budget now that my husband keeps track of everything I buy. From shoes to bathroom mats - everything needs to be updated in our iPhone budget tool. As much as I object to jotting down everything I spend, I'm doing my best to make him happy. Plus, we are paying the house soon, so this might help us a bit later. Changes don't always mean bad, right?
By the way, here are some of the moments I would cherish forever. I'm so glad I chose them to capture everything because the photos turned out absolutely perfect! Definitely worth every penny.
I'm still jet lagged. And a bit nausea, I think. I don't know if something I ate on the plane or I didn't eat much the whole day. Or everything might be too overwhelmed for me at the moment. And when I saw my boyfriend reciting Yassin during kenduri doa selamat this evening, I still could not believe that I am going to be his wife in just a few days.
I don't have time to breathe since landing. There were so many things to take in and couple of matters that need to attend to. My guest list has grown larger than I expected. So I have some shopping to do tomorrow. I have some friends that I haven't sent invitation yet. So, post office this Monday. And I have to pick up wedding dresses on Tuesday. By the way, I have tried them today and they were great. They fit great, just some touch up to do. But all in all, they were better than I expected. Alhamdulillah.
So, so far so good. Super. All I need now is rest because I don't have much since arrived and I am totally kaputt, I couldn't even feel my legs!
It's hot, crowded, noisy and absolute madness! Cows are everywhere - middle of the road, outside the office, construction sites, you name it! And no one dare to honk them! The drivers were like honking to each other but not to the cows. Stupid!
With all the reasons above, I decided to stay home this weekend. Going out means headache and heat and noise and dehydration. Even if this the only chance I got to experience India, so be it. Plus, I'm not planning to get sick so near to my wedding day.
Speaking of wedding, I already settled most of the things before flying to India. Only some minor details left, so mom will take care of those while I'm away. I left the wedding book to her, just incase. Oh yes, I have a wedding book!
Wow, I can't believe it's really going to be a wedding! In 13 days! I'm super excited OK! Just too bad I have to go through this hell, before I can fly home and marry the man I love.
It was 2 months before the big day and I already booked mak andam, cards, photographer and caterer. Everything seemed to fall into places. It was all good.
Well, at least that what I thought.
Yesterday supposed to be my very first dress fitting. Instead, the mak andam called and informed me that the dress wasn't ready. But it has been a month already! So, mom insisted on checking out the dress. Only then, she was told that the lavender french lace I bought RIPPED. Can you believe that? Yes, KOYAK RABAK!
Of course, they have to replace it! And mom specifically asked them to go to the place we got it and choose the material she precisely wanted. Just now, I received the call from them, asking us to see the material they bought.
I am so nervous OK! I really hope they found something better than the one we picked. Or good enough. I don't care, as long I got something decent to wear for the reception.
I'm off now to see the mak andam.
Updated: The lace was acceptable. The wedding is back on.
Everything went wrong at work since Monday, which put me in the foulest, nastiest mood ever. I lost interest to do what I basically love to do everyday and I'm not even looking forward to go to work today, tomorrow and the rest of the week.
I feel so demotivated. Can I just go home and plan the wedding instead?
I had an unexpectedly enjoyable time with friends as we attended kursus kahwin together somewhere near Damansara over the weekend. It was informative, refreshing, eye opener - everything that I didn’t anticipate it would be.
Don't you hate it when you snatched up something so fancy, but have to wait for another 5 months to wear it? Heck, I do!
I didn't expect the mood for wedding shopping would kick off this soon. Yet the clearance sale is so tempting! How could I ever resist that?
So here I am, staring at the same paper bag, gently put it on for a few seconds and then, pack it back into the bag, where it belongs. It happened everyday now and will be until the big day! I know! I hate it too! My fiancé is just mean for making me do it! Ok, that's overstating. But, it was his idea to have it as one of the hantaran! Although... I might be the one who negotiated it with him at the first place. I shouldn't have made that promise. Bad idea!
On the other hand, good news for mom, I am officially back on track with the wedding plan. You know, since I was pretty occupied purchasing something else months back. Anyway, I'm more ecstatic now than ever. So it's all good, I guess. I get to shop around for it, what's not to like?
Still, I have a long list to do. I haven't decided on what color to wear. I haven't chosen which bridal boutique to book for the dress and pelamin. I still don't have any official photographer. I bought only one of the hantaran but still lots of shopping NEED to be done(I love it when shopping is a necessity. Heheh).
To summarize, I basically haven't done anything yet. Zilch. Mom freaked out a bit, as always. Pressuring me to start on at least something but I still think we got plenty of time to arrange those. No worries.
I'm thinking of putting together my own wedding binder just like this.
Like I would ever had time to do that!Tapi cute kan!
As some already heard, we purchased a house 3 weeks ago. It all happened in a flash when we decided to put our saving for the deposit of the property and somehow booked the house just after checking it out for the first time. I know, it sounds crazy and insane. But we already looked around other places like Denai Alam, Sunway Kayangan, Setia Alam etc. Nothing can top this one. N-O-T-H-I-N-G. This was like love at the first sight. This is the house we always dream of.
So, numerous loan applications came soon after. After all the hassle, hectic weekends, emergency leaves, anxiety attacks, we finally secured the house. It's ours at last. Haaahhhhhhhhh. I'm so excited, no words can describe. Tunang saya lagi la. Almost everyday talking about how to decorate every single room. Soooo cute OK :P.
Now two months later, I can relax on May. Endlich. For starters, this week I be able get back to wasting my weekends - napping, surfing, watching some movies, finishing through unread RSS, reading some past magazines - and oh my God, I love her closet. Look.
Also, free weekend means getting back to planning the wedding, which I seemed to neglect since the house purchase. Frankly, I didn't do much since a month ago. But what's the rush? I have 6 solid months OK!
